Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson was a Scottish novelist, poet, travel writer, and essayist. His most famous works are "Treasure Island" and "The Strange Case of Dr. Jelcyll and Mr. Hyde". Now he is one of the most translated authors in the world. "The Ebb-Tide" is a short novel co-written by Stevenson and his stepson Lloyd Osbourne. The plot revolves around three down-on-their-luck men in Tahiti. All of them agree to ship out on a vessel whose officers died of smallpox, but on the way, they decide to steal the ship and its cargo.
